Stair treads are very high quality, a TRUE 1" thick, solid wood! The AMERICAN craftsmanship is A+. I opted for a stained, red oak tread which came with a nice, durable finish. The left hand return option was also quite nice, I just had to cut the treads to length and install them!*Treads were also packed VERY well for shipping...lots of foam/packing wrap/cardboard is used. Not a single blemish to the tread or finish of any of the 10 treads I purchased!
