Ash is normally straight grained with a coarse texture. The sapwood of Ash is light blond to nearly white, while the heartwood ranges in color from dark tan to light brown.

Prefinished flush with frame wood vents are grooved all around to match standard 3/4" thick flooring. These wood vents will add beauty and value to your hardwood floor.

The vents on this page are prefinished flush with frame heat vents. They are 3/4" thick and extend beyond the opening size 1-3/8" all around. The frame installs permanently while the insert is removable for easy cleaning.

For prefinished wood vents, three coats of our clear conversion varnish will be applied.

For prestained wood vents, a stain is applied, then three coats of varnish. If you choose to have your wood stair tread prestained, we will email you after the order is placed to find out which color you have chosen. Choose from any Woodwright color shown here.

Prefinished flush with frame vents are offered in standard and custom sizes. Standard sizes are less expensive. A vent is a standard size if:

1)The width is 2-1/4" or any multiple of 2" from 4" to 30".
and
2)The length is a multiple of 2" from 4" to 96".
and
3)The total square inches (width x length) is 320" or less.

All vents are ordered using the opening size.
