I am extremely pleased with the quality of the maple butcher block and backsplash pieces that I received. The only surprise -- a very slight surprise -- was that each piece clearly had a "bad" side. But I have no plans to be flipping anything over, so a hidden "bad" side is not a problem.Customer service was also exemplary, and the web site was very complete and helpful. All-in-all, my experience was as good as any shopping experience could be.
