Kitchen countertops require a balance of durability and appearance. They have to be able to withstand frequent, heavy use but at the same time, they will be seen almost every day and should enhance the kitchen's feel. Many of our wood countertop choices fit the bill and these are a few of our favorites. Maple, Hickory and White Oak bring a mix of strong durability and a nice, somewhat neutral look. Walnut has a spectacular look with plenty of strength. Brazilian Cherry rounds out the list with incredible density and a beautiful, dark red appearance.
