Durability can be pretty important depending on the use. If a countertop will be used in a heavy duty workshop, strength is critical while another countertop used as a dining table may not need to be as durable. While most of our wood choices provide sufficient durability (Janka Hardness Scale chart), these were our team’s selections: Hickory, Maple, White Oak, Ash and Red Oak.
