American Cherry is known throughout North America for its rich, beautiful colors and elegant look. American Cherry is a softer and finer grained hardwood. Our American Cherry prefinished wood stair risers have a heartwood color made up of beautiful reddish brown tones, while the contrasting sapwood is cream colored.

Milled from FAS and Select grade lumber, your prefinished American Cherry wood stair riser will be of premium quality. While stair risers are occasionally one board, they usually consist of a few boards glued for width. Your stair risers will ship slightly over length.

All of our prefinished stair risers are made from top quality hardwoods. Our wood stair risers are not engineered and do not have a veneer. For all prefinished wood stair risers, a special catalyzer is added to a commercial grade, 45 sheen conversion varnish. Three coats are applied to each wood stair riser. This finish is hard and durable! Your prefinished American Cherry wood stair riser(s) will be custom made and shipped within three weeks. Wood stair risers are available unfinished, prefinished or prestained. We are proud to use Woodwright products to finish and stain our wood stair risers.

For prefinished wood stair risers, three coats of our clear conversion varnish will be applied.
