A very strong, dense hardwood, Brazilian Cherry wood (also called Jatoba) has an interlocking grain and a texture that can range from medium to coarse. The color also varies, from a light brown with orange undertones, to a deeper, rich brown with red undertones. Whatever the shade, circular Brazilian cherry plank table tops have a natural glow to it that makes it an especially inviting wood.
These round plank style table tops have many uses. Add more surface area to your square island or make a new one. Circular table tops are always popular.
Plank Style Tabletops are constructed by gluing wood boards side by side. The wood boards run the length of the countertop and are random widths between 3" and 6". The first and last wood boards of our Plank Tabletops may be less than 3" wide. Our wood plank style tabletops are face grain providing a traditional look that has always been popular. Although our Plank Style Tabletops can be used for light food preparation when treated with a food safe mineral oil, they should not be used for cutting or chopping.
