Our prefinished Soft Maple wood stair risers look very similar to Hard Maple, but are a little more white in color and are less dense. Soft Maple wood stair risers have a white sapwood and mild brown heartwood. Soft Maple wood stair risers may contain some brown, but it will be minimal. Your prefinished Soft Maple wood stair riser will look great with a clear finish or stain!

For prefinished risers, three coats of our clear conversion varnish will be applied.

For prestained risers, a stain is applied, then three coats of varnish. Choose any stain from the colors shown here.

Stair risers are constructed by gluing boards side by side. The number of boards can range from one to four.
