Our prefinished Ash wood stair risers have a sapwood color that varies from nearly white, while the heartwood consists of natural blond to various shades of brown. Ash wood stair risers have grain that is similar to Red Oak and look great with a clear coat finish. Your prefinished Ash wood stair riser will also look very nice with a variety of different stains, both light and dark!

For prefinished risers, three coats of our clear conversion varnish will be applied.

For prestained risers, a stain is applied, then three coats of varnish. Choose any stain from the colors shown here.

Stair risers are constructed by gluing boards side by side. The number of boards can range from one to four.
