Our plank countertops are carefully hand-crafted with FAS and Select grade hard maple that is locally sourced. A warm, rich dark brown stain is applied to give the wood the perfect chocolate finish. Note: These prestained plank countertops are not appropriate for preparing food directly on the surface.

First, we apply the stain to the top, sides, edges and underneath. Then three coats of our catalyzed conversion varnish are applied to the top surface and two everywhere else. The stain adds a beautiful color and the varnish adds a semi gloss look that is hard and durable.

Our prestained plank countertops are constructed by gluing wood boards side by side. The wood boards run the length of the countertop and are random widths between 3" and 6". The first and last wood boards of our Plank Countertops may be less than 3" wide. Our prestained plank style countertops offer a beautiful, traditional look.
