Custom Size Maple Butcher Block Countertop

I wanted to purchase a 2" maple butcher block countertop for my kitchen remodel. Since it was an L-shaped peninsula I ordered it in two pieces to set on new cabinets. I am very, very pleased with the results. Peter was extremely helpful and made sure that he understood exactly what we wanted. We sent him a drawing and when we realized we'd missed something he had no problem putting the order on hold for us for a couple of days. Rather than have it shipped we took a drive to the factory, located in Amish Country, to pick it up. The butcher block fit together perfectly and looks beautiful. Our wall is a little crooked so we had a small space that needed to be filled and Peter asked his shop to form a piece to fit the space. It arrived about a week later and again, fit perfectly. I ordered it unfinished and Peter told me how to oil it. It really is like a piece of art.
