Poplar is relatively straight grained with a medium to fine texture. Our Poplar End Grain Butcher Block Countertops have a light sapwood color, while the heartwood is slightly yellow or greenish in color and may have occasional streaks of purple. Poplar End Grain Butcher Block Countertops are durable, shock-resistant, and highly stable.
End grain butcher block countertops are available in any size up to 4-1/4" thick, 42" wide and 96" long. End grain butcher block countertops feature rectangles about 1" wide and random lengths, usually between 1-1/2" and 6". The rectangles are glued together in checkerboard pattern. The strips are not perfectly aligned to the checkerboard pattern, creating an informal look that is hard to match! |
