Hickory is very commonly known throughout America because it is the hardest, strongest, and heaviest hardwood available. Our prefinished Hickory wood stair risers are a popular choice due to Hickory's dramatic white and brown color variations. Hickory wood stair risers have a tan to brown heartwood color, and the contrasting sapwood color is white.

For prefinished risers, three coats of our clear conversion varnish will be applied.

For prestained risers, a stain is applied, then three coats of varnish. Choose any stain from the colors shown here.

Stair risers are constructed by gluing boards side by side. The number of boards can range from one to four.
